I sat upon this tree log and caught my breath, so many thoughts running through my mind. Just a simple man within a barren land, a mere guest of Mother Nature. My body drained, my emotions high, my endurance challenged like never before. I looked around, had a drink of water, and focused on the task at hand. So many miles yet to cover, before the coming of dusk. Temperature dropping, soaked in sweat, no time to waste for certain. I arose and conjured up the energy to continue on my path, no matter how tired I was. This forest shall not claim me. this mountain shall not beat me, I shall come forth victorious, this image shall be my reminder. – George Mercado evergladesphotographer.com
