ADVENTURES IN FISH EATING CREEK

Where do I begin to tell the tale of Fish Eating Creek, alas we have taken so many trips into this beautiful hidden gem. It is one of our favorite places to escape to, kayak and traverse through. A place full of beauty, dangers, wildlife, and scenic advenic adventures. The Fish Eating Creek wildlife management area is located in Palmdale Florida, off of I27, and covers a span of 18,274 acres. So the possibility of exploring it all is indeed a mission, surely something you will never do in a day, week nor month.

Every trip there yields us amazing memories, videos and photos which forever beckons us back for more.  There is camping, kayaking, canoeing, fishing and hiking onsite. However to truly venture forth awaay from the comfortof the campsite, into the deep depth of it. I suggest you wear some good snake boots, pack a sack with 72 hr of supples, prepare to get wet and harrassed by bugs. You can never predict what you will experience or run across there, so always be prepared for the unexpected. Watch your step and pay attention to where you are heading. The backcountry landscape is filled with obstacles, such as widow maker stumps, massive tree roots, boar ruts, boot sucking mud and an occasional moccassin. Always be on your toes and prepared for the adventure.
